Summer Fashion

Since the weather’s been nice, I started thinking about summer clothes for Raefa (who I usually draw in sweatshirts).  No she would wear sweatshirts in warm weather, but she would want to wear long sleeves to protect herself.   Although she probably looks weird wearing long sleeves, it’s far easier to explain away long sleeves than burning and then peeling and healing in a matter of minutes.   Also, I like Raefa in a hat.

 

Character design: Ammo

I continue my experimentation with character design for The Armen.   This is Ammo Sierkson again.   I was experimenting with a body type for him, while continuing to work on drawing more masculine facial features.  Hope you enjoy.

Experimentation with character design

I started experimenting with character designs for characters from my story, “The Armen”.      Here are drawings that I did for Aislin Krassifitch and Ichabod Maluk.

Ichabod is supposed to be a kind of rough-looking character, so I decided to draw him with scruffy sideburns.  I actually kind of like them on it.  I don’t usually draw facial hair, so I was kind of surprised!

 

I wanted to try to experiment with Aislin’s character design; I think the clips help open up her face, although I didn’t want them to completely contain her hair.   Overall, I am happy with it, and I think she might wear the look some of the time in the second story.
